The approach taken at CFIBCR and PMH is an excellent example of translational research where the learning from one patient is used to develop better treatment for the next patient. Data and specimens from clinical trials are fed to the basic scientists who are working new treatments and approaches which are then presented back to the doctors and nurses in the clinic.
