Cancer Drug Development
The Princess Margaret, with its world-leading research facility, the Ontario Cancer Institute (OCI), is especially well-suited to excel and succeed in developing new drugs for cancer patients.  That is because the facility is:
  • focused 100 percent on cancer research and treatment, including all types of cancer
  • a world leader in basic science research, and
  • located in a large, multicultural city which provides a large patient base for clinical studies
This article provides background information on the steps involved in developing a new cancer drug and bringing it to market, followed by descriptions of specific drug development initiatives going on at The Princess Margaret.
